AudioTools Wireless 3.6

AudioTools Wireless serves as a professional-grade sound pressure level (SPL) Meter, equipped with both A and C weighting scales, and incorporates an audio signal generator capable of producing sine waves, square waves, as well as white and pink noise. Its design facilitates wireless transmission of microphone audio to other Studio Six Digital applications running on separate iOS devices over a local area network.

The device transmits uncompressed digital audio alongside precise calibration data to the host application, ensuring that decibel readings are consistent between the AudioTools Wireless unit and the controlling software. This integration enhances measurement accuracy and streamlines calibration processes.

Moreover, when connected to a compatible Studio Six Digital application, AudioTools Wireless functions as a remote signal generator. This feature allows users to control the output signal parameters wirelessly, providing flexibility in live or studio environments.

Compatibility with the Studio Six Digital iTestMic is included; since the iTestMic stores its calibration internally, plugging it into AudioTools Wireless automatically retrieves and transmits this calibration data to the host device, maintaining measurement integrity.

Data transmission occurs at a full 48kHz sampling rate with 16-bit resolution in an uncompressed format, supporting high-fidelity audio transfer. Users can adjust latency settings according to local network performance to optimize responsiveness.
